When I first came across this company I wasn’t sure as I love some nuts and am not so keen on others but as my boyfriend Stuart loves most nuts as does my son Ben I jumped at the chance to review them. The main thing I am not so keen on about nuts is overly salty ones as I really do dislike salt on or in anything. I am more of a sweet than a savoury kind of girl.
Who are Nutalicious?
Nutalicious is a small company selling gift boxes of nuts online and can be found here. I appreciate this doesn’t sound too interesting and I was a little unsure until I looked into it further. These aren’t just any nuts, they are a huge range of nuts and dried fruits in gorgeous gift boxes. The boxes are personalised with you choosing which of the nuts/fruit you wish to send. There really is everything you can think of from honey roasted cashew nuts, to nut espresso and goji berries to dried mango slices.
Which ones did you try?
The box I had included honey roasted cashews, pistachios, macadamia nuts and sweet and salty nuts. We all enjoyed them all but our family favourite had to be the honey roasted cashew nuts. Each of the small boxes are 100g.
How healthy are they?
Nuts and dried fruit are sometimes considered healthy and other times not it really depends what diet or lifestyle you follow. These nuts were all packaged with the ingredients and nutritional information clearly marked on the bottom of each package so you can make your own decision and work out how they fit in with your plan.
Would you recommend them?
The quality was good and the taste was good so I would definitely recommend them. They arrived very well packaged as you can see and make a lovely looking gift. At £15 including postage for the gift box with 4 individual boxes I think this is too expensive for me to consider buying for our family on a regular basis but this isn’t what they are for. As a gift when you compare them with sending flowers or chocolates direct they are a good price and make for a more unique gift. With Valentines Day and Mothers Day coming up, not to mention all the other presents we buy throughout the year I will definitely be considering these as a unique gift because my mum works away a lot so flowers aren’t so good and everyone buys chocolates! There is even the ability to add your own message.
Any comments on the company?
I noticed on the website that the company is a small business and also helps the Smallholder Macadamia Trust to reduce poverty in Malawi. I thought that this was lovely knowing that you are helping communities of Malawi whilst eating yummy nuts and fruits! Nutalicious is a small business but from my experiences of it this certainly does not adversely affect the service you get. My parcel arrived beautifully packaged and the customer service excellent.
Please note that these nuts were sent to me in return for a review however I never guarantee a positive review because I believe my readers always deserve the truth about products. The views above are my own and not influenced by being sent the products.
