Chinese Fakeaway – A Healthy Feast of a Takeaway!

We all love Chinese don’t we especially at the weekend or with friends. It is one of the main things that can get in our way when we are trying to lose weight though, the love of takeaways and socialising with food versus the wish to lose weight! Last weekend my best friend was coming over for an evening of gossiping, drinks and food so I decided to cook a Chinese so we could save our syns (we all follow Slimming World) for the drinks! It turned out we had far more to drink that the daily syn allowance but it would have been worse with an actual take away! Here I will share what I made and maybe you will enjoy it too.

The meal I made as shown in the photo above consisted of (top to bottom and left to right):

Sticky Mushrooms

Quorn and Mushroom Curry

Egg Fried Rice (homemade)

Linda McCartney Vegetarian Pulled Chicken (Packet)

Crispy Kale (Like Crispy Seaweed)

Vegetable Spring Rolls

Chicken and Mushroom Curry


Quorn in Black Bean Sauce

Beef in Black Bean Sauce

Cauliflower Garlic Bread

Sweet and Sour Vegetables

Chow Mein Style Noodles

Pulled Chicken

Shredded Spring Onion

Egg Wraps

Also on the table we had a bottle of Sweet Chilli sauce and a bottle of Hoisin Sauce.

    Omg these recipes sound delicious especially the sticky mushrooms! Definitely going to try those tomorrow!
