Pork and Herb Melt in the Middle Burgers

We had some pork mince that was 5% or less fat so I decided to experiment with some burgers for Ben and they went really well and work out as low syn or syn free on Slimming World (depending if you use your healthy extra a choice) so I thought I would share the recipe!

Makes 6 burgers, 2 syns each or syn free using healthy extra (see below)

Ingredients


454g 5% Pork Mince
1 red onion (peeled and finely chopped)
1 large egg
1 tbsp. Mixed Herbs
1 tbsp. Garlic Granules
1 tsp Mustard Powder
6 Babybel light cheeses

Method


Using a large mixing bowl mix together all ingredients except Babybels using hands if necessary!

Separate mixture into six and mould each into a burger shape with a Babybel in the middle.

Using Frylight in large frying pan fry burgers on a medium heat for approximately 7 minutes on each side until golden. Do not try and turn them over too early or they will fall apart and the cheese will escape!

If you have three of these burgers the cheese can be counted as your healthy extra a choice, alternatively syn at 2 syns per burger.
