Guest Post – Moroccan Meatballs

A blogger friend of mine Kerry from Blissful Domestication always makes some tasty looking food so when she offered to share a recipe with you guys I knew instantly that I just had to share it! Kerry does not follow Slimming World herself so I have added in the current syn values however please remember it is your responsibility to check if you follow any healthy eating plan!


  • 500g lean lamb mince
  • 1 1/2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 tbsp ground ginger
  • 1 tbsp tumeric
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 500g carton of passata
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 oz of chopped dried apricots (12 Syns)
  • 3 oz Sultanas (14 syns)
  • 1 pint of lamb or beef stock
  • 1 tbsp honey (1syn)
  • Seasoning
NB. If calculated correctly some dried fruit can be used as the Healthy Extra B choice.


  1. Add the paprika, ground ginger, turmeric and cinnamon to a bowl and mix well. Put half of the spice mixture direct into your slow cooker pot and mix the other half well with your lamb mince.  I found using my hands for this was the easiest way to do it.
  2. Again using your hands form small meatballs, and place into the slow cooker pot.
  3. Add all the other ingredients to the pot, and turn on to a low for 6-8 hours, season to taste.
