Whilst we usually use a low calorie spray oil there are some meals where only olive oil will do! We have just come back from a holiday in Mallorca so being in the Mediterranean many foods are made or prepared using olive oil and I discovered I quite liked some of the things they made. Whilst I still follow Slimming World I know if I want things like this I can syn them but if I am going to do that I want to use the right olive oil for the job!

You don’t have to go to the expensive supermarkets either, cheaper ones like Aldi do different types of olive oil too. If you don’t know what you need for the right kind of foods then you invariably are wasting your syns or calories as it really will not taste as good so I am loving this guide and will be pinning it on my Pinterest!
As you can see Spain gets through tonnes of olive oil so I cant wait to get trying to recreate some of the things we saw and ate on our holiday! They unfortunately don’t eat many vegetarian foods over there so my choices were limited however now I know which oils to use I can try to make vegetarian versions of some of the yummy looking salads and other dishes!
