Beef or Quorn Keema Curry

Do you like a curry? Have you tried a keema before, if not then this is a recipe you really should try! If you have then this recipe is so easy to make and whilst being syn free on Slimming World it is so much healthier than a take away too!

Syn free on Slimming World

Ingredients


300g 5% fat mince or 300g Quorn Mince
1 large onion, chopped
80g frozen garden peas
5 cloves of crushed garlic or I use 5 blocks of frozen garlic
1 inch of ginger, finely grated, or I use 2 blocks of frozen ginger
100ml beef or vegetable stock
0.5tsp Cinnamon
1tsp mild chilli powder
1.5tsp ground coriander
1tsp turmeric
1.5tsp garam masala
0.5tsp ground cumin

Note: The blocks of ginger and garlic I use are the Taj brand I buy in the freezers from Morrison’s I am unsure if it is available elsewhere.Method

Put all ingredients in a slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
Tip – if following Slimming World and you want more “speed vegetables” with it serve with cauliflower rice instead of normal rice. I have also added some cauliflower rice in the slow cooker whilst cooking and it all flavours well and isn’t really noticeable!
