When I was offered a desk lamp to review my first thoughts were that I don’t actually have a desk! I however looked into the BenQ e-reading lamp more and realised it was more than a desk lamp and would be ideal for us. Here are my thoughts on it and more information fro you.
What is the lamp ideal for?
Whilst primarily marketed as a desk lamp I think this light is so much more. I have found it perfect for reading working on the laptop. The lighting is adjustable to different brightness levels and to warmer hues also. It is perfect for all light levels in the home. When it gets gloomy in the afternoons or rainy weather I have found it perfect to brighten the area I am working so I can see the laptop more clearly. I have also found that the wide lighting coverage is perfect for taking photos for my website too.
How does the lamp work?
The light is operated by touching the top to turn on and off. There is a button to turn also which adjusts to the different types of lighting from bright to warm etc. The cord is long and the visible part matches the colour of the lamp itself which is a nice touch. I chose the green coloured version which is a metallic almost teal colour which is perfect for our house. There are a few different choices regarding colour available online too. The lamp plugs in using a standard UK plug however in the box there are various different plugs available to connect it to. If you are not in the UK this would still be good for you.
Where is the lamp available from?
The lamp is available from Amazon in the UK and in the US. My light was delivered from Amazon and the packaging and delivery were brilliant. The lamp is currently £142.40. Whilst it is more expensive than many other lamps I think that the fact it is stylish and so useful means for some people it would be perfect.
To purchase the lamp for yourself you can buy it here* in the UK or buy it here in the USA. If you buy from the BenQ Webstore or the BenQ America Corp as the Amazon Seller and use code BENQ10EF you can get 10% off. This offer ends 31st March 2018 and is exclusive for my readers.
Please note that whilst I was gifted this lamp to review all opinions above are my own.
