When we feel down or have had a bad day sometimes a nice relaxing bath or shower can really help to lift the mood and improve the remainder of the day. Here I thought I would share with you my mood lifting tips to make that bath or shower even better.
If you have a walk-in shower there are a few less options than a bath but don’t worry you can still relax more than you already are with these tips.
Candles – I find that a few carefully placed candles can really make the atmosphere feel relaxing and as long as you are safe there is no reason you couldn’t do this for a bath or shower though I guess they are better for a bath.
Audiobooks or music – find something relaxing to listen to and really take your mind off everything that is going on in the real world as such.
Luxury products – Treat yourself to some really nice bubble bath or shower gel. Instead of using the normal one make sure you have some really good products in for these down days to help you feel better. I love saving ones in gift boxes for this however I always use them once or twice first because I often have allergic reactions to bath products and that wouldn’t be too mood lifting would it!
Take a drink in with you – You can’t easily take a drink into the shower but a nice glass of wine or a mug of coffee whilst relaxing can be just what you need to make you feel relaxed.
Lock the Door – It sounds silly but with the door locked and music/audiobooks on hopefully you wont be disturbed by children pestering you. Obviously provided they are well looked after by someone else or asleep!
What do you do to make your bath or shower mood lifting and relaxing? Do you have any tips you could share? What are your favourite products?
