How to make the perfect Slimming World Chips

Whether you follow Slimming World or not you will love these chips. Much healthier than the chip shop and full of flavour. On Slimming World they are syn free and well lets just say delicious. So how do I make my perfect chips. It really is so simple.

The look good don’t they? I can assure you they taste good too! So, what is my secret to chips full of flavour, crispy and nicely browned? It would be rude to keep my tips to myself and as you know me I always like to share so here you go.

The way to make the best chips ever

I use a Tefal Actifry* because I love the way it has a paddle which keep the chips moving as they cook. If you have another brand which doesn’t then be sure to keep tossing them in the pan to allow them to cook evenly. Cooking time may also vary with other air fryers.

The best potatoes I have found for chips are the jacket potatoes but really I don’t think it matters too much. We prefer to use Sunflower Oil Frylight but again I don’t think it matters if you use a different flavour.

I have tried many different flavourings whilst cooking chips both syn free and slightly synned options and whilst many are tasty I haven’t found anything as good as this. The definite favourite now is the SpiceNtice Gourmet chips and wedges sachet.


  1. Cut potatoes into chips. I leave the skins on but its up to you.
  2. Toss them into the Actifry* and spray well with Frylight (around 20 sprays for chips for 3/4 people)
  3. Cook for 10 minutes
  4. Open lid and spray well again with Frylight
  5. Sprinkle over the SpiceNtice* seasoning sachet. I use a full sachet for 3/4 people but experiment with your preferences you may like less.
  6. Cook for a further 10 minutes
  7. Open lid and spray well again with Frylight
  8. Cook for a further 10 minutes
  9. Serve and Enjoy!
