I generally don’t take or review supplements as I think a healthy diet should usually be all that is required. However, when I was asked to review the Utmost Me supplements they intrigued me. Neuro Rest is formulated to help you sleep well and calm anxiety. I have sometimes been struggling with sleeping and relaxing lately so thought it was worth a try.

What do Neuro Rest contain?

Each capsule contains what Utmost Me describes as ingredients to reduce tiredness and fatigue whilst increasing the feel-good hormone serotonin. They claim that the combination provides a natural source of melatonin.

This is something I know a little about as Ben is prescribed melatonin for his sleep issues linked to his autism. It is only available on prescription and generally quite hard to be prescribed.

The specific ingredients in Neuro Rest are Magnesium, Griffonia seed extract, L-Tryptophan, Montmorency Cherry, grape skin extract, watermelon extract, Chamomile powder, L-Taurine and Biotin.

Of course, also included are things like anti-caking agents etc. Full list on their website. The capsules are vegan and GMO-free.

Who can take Neuro Rest?

The capsules are designed to be taken by adults only and not by pregnant or nursing women. In addition, it is of course recommended that you speak to your Dr before taking them. I checked with my pharmacist who said I was okay to try them but obviously you need to check for yourself.

What did I think?

Recently I have been having some trouble sleeping. I tend to be very tense in my sleep, curled up tightly and waking up achy from being so tense.

Some of the anxiety is due to the tests I have been having due to a lump I have in my neck and the possibility of surgery in the near future on that.

I also have a lot of dreams which I am sure is because I am anxious in my sleep. When starting Neuro Rest I was hopeful it would help these issues.

I have taken the Neuro Rest capsules now for 10 days and have noticed a few differences. Obviously, there is no way to be sure they are linked to Neuro Rest. I am waking up more relaxed and feeling like I have not slept as tense.

In the morning I haven’t remembered any dreams though I am not sure if that is just chance or that I haven’t had any. Also, I know I haven’t woken up as tight and tense.

There is no way of knowing if this is linked to taking the Neuro Rest but I guess it ties in with that. I will let you make your own judgements.

Where can I buy Neuro Rest?

If this is something you fancy giving a try then pop over to their website and take a look at Neuro Rest on the Utmost Me website and its ingredients etc.

Bottles of 60 capsules are available for £16 if you buy six. A bottle is around a month’s supply as the first four nights you take one capsule then move to two a night.

A few tips for a good night’s sleep

  • Don’t eat too heavy foods late in the evening
  • Try to keep to a routine and wake and sleep at similar times daily.
  • Avoid alcohol as this can help you fall asleep however as your body processes it during the night it can affect later parts of your sleep.
  • Keep away from screens to close to bedtime. The blue light emitted from LED screens particularly can really stop you from falling asleep easily.

What do you do to get a good night’s sleep? Any tricks you swear by?
