If like me you follow Slimming World and also like your food then it is all about making tasty snacks. Of course snacks do not have to be savoury they can be sweet and still Syn free. Here I will share my top 24 snacks (was going to be 20 but I had more ideas!) with you that we have as a family that are Syn free so perfect on Slimming World so you can save those Syns for something else. Whilst fruit is Syn free (except avocado!) I wanted to suggest some other ideas!
Now we are in February all the shops are full of hearts and roses ready for Valentine’s Day but what are you going to buy the one you love? I have compiled here a few suggestions for you that are a bit different and things you might just not have thought of. Everyone has different budgets so I have tried to find a mixture of ideas that wont all break the bank!
Isn’t it lovely to find somewhere nice to go as a family that is a bit different from the usual Zoo, Farm, Theme Park etc. The Supercar Event is just that, and a bonus is that it is for charity too. The Children’s Trust is an amazing charity that does so much for so many children with brain injury and neurodisability. This is a big event for them to raise funds they can use so well. It looks like an amazing weekend of fun though so totally worth it. I have loads to tell you about it and a giveaway for you to win a family ticket too!
I fancied something a bit different to snack on so thought I would try to make a curry loaf. I wanted one that would be Syn free on Slimming World and also really easy to make. After I had made it I realised it was also great when following the SP plan on Slimming World. I hope you enjoy it too and do tag me (@justaveragejen) in any photos on Instagram etc.

I sometimes struggle to fall to sleep with so many things going around in my head and I know I am not alone so when I was offered an article with ideas to help I jumped at the chance and I am sure it will help some of you too.
As you will have seen in previous posts of mine about my son Ben and children in general, their diet and exercise is very important to me. Previous posts I have written around the subject can be found on 70 Ways to keep the kids moving and here about Ben’s Healthy Eating Journey. I just wanted to share with you some research I have come across which may interest you.
I have always been someone who doesn’t drink enough water so this year I have made a conscious decision to try and make myself drink more. When it isn’t a habit and as a child you always needed reminding to drink it isn’t an easy habit to form. I know I am not alone in this so thought I would share with you my top tips in case you are struggling with this too. By drinking more it can help you lose weight too as we all often mistake thirst for hunger don’t we. I know I do anyway, I always think I am hungry and probably I am just thirsty!
