Description
A fakeaway doner kebab recipe that is great for all the family and can be cooked in the oven or the slow cooker.
Ingredients
1 KG 5% Fat Minced Beef
1 Tsp Paprika
1.5 Tsp Salt
0.5 Tsp Black Pepper
1 Tsp Garlic Granules
2 Tsp Ground Coriander
2 Tsp Ground Cumin
1 Tsp Mild Curry Powder
2 Tsp Mixed Herbs
Instructions
Preheat oven to 200°c.
Using a large mixing bowl place all the herbs and spices into the bowl then add the mince on top.
Knead the mince mixing with the herbs and spices as you go.
Keep Kneading until the mince is well combined with the herbs and easily forms a ball without falling apart.
Line a large roasting tin with foil and then mould the mince into a large loaf shape. Place it onto the foil and then loosely cover it in foil also.
Cook in the centre of the oven for 60 minutes or until cooked throughout. The cooking time will vary slightly depending on how thick you make the mince loaf.
When cooked remove from the oven and leave to stand for 5 minutes.
To slice stab the loaf with a fork in the centre and then whilst holding still with the fork use a sharp serrated knife to slice as thinly as you can horizontally from the ends towards the fork.
Serve in warm pitta bread with salad and chips.
