Description

This sticky prawns and jasmine rice recipe is going to give you everything you need and more. It is healthy and delicious, and above all else, very simple and quick to make.

Ingredients

Scale

150 grams cooked king prawns

150 grams of jasmine rice

50 grams broccoli

1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce

50 grams of green beans

1 tbsp butter

Instructions

Fill a medium saucepan with hot water and then add the jasmine rice to it. Get the saucepan lid and cover it. Let it cook for 20 mins at medium-high heat. This is one of the easiest ways to cook rice with very little fuss.

While the rice is cooking, heat the skillet over high heat and add the butter.

Once your skillet is hot, add the broccoli and green beans and let them cook, stirring occasionally.

Once the broccoli and green beans are cooked, remove the vegetables from the pan and set them aside. Add the tiger prawns and let them cook for about 2 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink. You don’t want to undercook them, so keep an eye on the prawns while they are cooking.

Once the prawns are cooked you can then add back the vegetables, pour the chilli sauce into the skillet, and stir all together to combine the flavours.

Get a plate and add your jasmine rice to it, and then either place the prawns and vegetables all over the top or at the side. You could even sprinkle over a bit of herb garnish if you have some. Enjoy!

Notes

When it comes to cooking prawns, make sure you ensure that they are cooked through. The tiger prawns will go from a grey and translucent colour to a pink shade. This is how you know they are cooked.
