Description

A healthy chicken kebab recipe made in the Ninja Foodi Pro Max Health grill

Ingredients

Scale

500g Diced chicken breast

3 Mushrooms – washed and cut into quarters

1 onion – diced

1 pepper – diced (you could use different coloured peppers if you wished)

150 ml fat-free natural yoghurt

1 tbsp garam masala or curry powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp ground cumin

1 pinch cinnamon

1 tsp salt

1 lemon (you need the juice only)

Instructions

Add all the spice ingredients into a bowl, add the yoghurt and mix well

Add the diced chicken and mix together, ensuring all pieces are coated well

Cover with cling film and refrigerate for a couple of hours or overnight

If you are using wooded skewers soak them in water so that they don’t burn on the grill

Cut up your mushrooms, onion and pepper if you are adding them to your kebab, and brush lightly with oil

Thread pieces of marinated chicken onto the skewers. If you want just a chicken kebab keep adding as many pieces as you’d like. If you are adding other ingredients start with a piece of chicken, add a piece of pepper, mushroom and onion then repeat until the skewer is almost full.

Insert the Ninja grill plate, and close the lid. Select Grill, set the temperature to Medium and the time to 15 minutes. Press the start button to start the preheating.

Once preheated (it will display Add Food) place the kebabs on the grill and close the lid.

When the unit beeps (it will display Flip) halfway through the cooking time open the lid and using silicone tongs flip the kebabs over. You can add a little more oil to the vegetables if required. Close the lid to continue cooking. If needed you can increase the cooking time by pressing the time button and turning the knob.

Once the unit beeps again (it will say End) remove the kebabs from the grill and allow them to rest for a few minutes. Remove from the skewers and serve with salad, pita, wrap and or chips/wedges.
