Slim Chickens review and current offers (Nottingham)
Have you ever eaten at a Slim Chickens restaurant? I hadn’t previously, but I was intrigued when we were invited to review Slim Chickens. Here I want to share a bit more about them with you; the latest Slim Chickens offers and a review of Slim Chickens Nottingham branch.
This is a collaborative post.
What is Slim Chickens?
Slim Chickens has carved a niche for itself in the fast food industry, delighting customers with its flavourful chicken dishes and commitment to quality.
So, do you want to know more about the unique aspects of Slim Chickens and what we thought of their food?
Quality Ingredients and Preparation
Slim Chickens takes pride in using fresh ingredients to create their signature chicken dishes. Their chicken is hand-breaded and marinated in buttermilk, ensuring a tender and juicy interior.
Each piece of chicken is cooked to perfection, resulting in a crispy and golden exterior that adds to the overall taste experience.
This attention to detail sets Slim Chickens apart, as they prioritize flavour and quality in every bite. It is fast food, but it is also all about good quality food, so I was intrigued to test if this was the case.
Slim Chickens Menu Options
Slim Chickens offers a range of chicken-centric dishes that cater to various tastes. Their menu features boneless tenders, wings, chicken sandwiches, and wraps.
Whether you prefer a classic southern-style flavour or crave something spicier, Slim Chickens has something for you.
Tender meals include Texas toast, seasoned fries, sauces and a bottomless soda. Sandwiches include one pot of sauce, seasoned fries and a bottomless drink.
The menu also includes a variety of dipping sauces, such as honey mustard, buffalo, and ranch, which complement the chicken dishes.
Additionally, customers can choose from a selection of sides like fries, coleslaw, and mac and cheese.
Plant-based Slim Chickens options
As a vegetarian, I was curious to see what vegetarian or plant-based options they offer and, upon looking at the website, realised there is very little.
What they do have sounded nice, so I was keen to try them out! There is only one size of tenders in the plant-based range, 3 as a meal for £11.95. I was disappointed that they were more expensive than chicken tenders, and meals did not include the same items.
Regarding sandwiches (a brioche-type bun with tenders inside), there is one plant-based option, a plant-based buffalo sandwich.
The atmosphere and Customer Service
Slim Chickens Nottingham has inside and outside eating areas. Both offered adequate seating, and on our visit, there was only a minute or two wait for a table to become clear.
The restaurant has high stool-type seating, tables of various sizes and benches with tables around the edges indoors and simple tables outside. The chairs were comfortable, and all the tables were cleaned quickly once vacated.
When ordering your food, there are two choices, using self-service screens or a cashier at a till. I chose the cashier as I was given a gift voucher to order our food for this review and was unsure if I could do that on the self-service machines!
What did we think of Slim Chickens food?
We all thoroughly enjoyed our food. It was different from other fast food restaurants we have visited, and we all left very full.
As a vegetarian, I was quite disappointed by the variety available and there only being one size of tenders; however, I absolutely loved my meal, so if you are vegetarian or vegan, don’t let it put you off and still try!
The Slim Chickens menu is available online, so check their website if you are unsure if you will find something for you.
The restaurant was nice and clean, and during our visit, we didn’t notice anyone having any issues with their meals either.
We all had milkshakes with our food, they were lovely, and I would definitely recommend them. Otherwise, the bottomless soda is great for those who like a few drinks with their meal.
The only thing I was not overly keen on was having kitchen rolls instead of napkins on the tables; that said, they did the job, and it is probably better for the environment or something!
