This article was written after a gifted Hotel Football Ultimate football fan package from Hotel Football.
When you are looking for the perfect Christmas present sometimes experiences are the best option for the person who has everything. If you are buying for a football fan, particularly a Manchester United fan then I have a great option for you here.
How did we find the package?
We arranged to visit to experience the Ultimate Fan package for Ben’s 14th Birthday. We had visited Hotel Football previously and Ben always enjoyed it so this seemed perfect.
Ben is a big football fan and supports Manchester United, along with a variety of other teams – he changes his allegiance regularly depending on how they are doing but essentially loves most teams!
We had an amazing time which I will share with you below so you can see if it is perfect for you too.
What is the Hotel Football Ultimate Football fan package?
Hotel Football introduced the package to be a perfect stay for any football fans visiting. It is perfect for all the family with a lovely hotel stay and a tour of Old Trafford included. The Hotel Football ultimate fan package includes staying in the Squad room and a tour of the Old Trafford, Theatre of Dreams, home of Manchester United Football Club.
Using your ticket for the tour you can exchange this for an annual pass for the tour and visit as many times as you like over the coming year. This is especially great for those with young children who may not get to take in everything the first time.
The package includes breakfast in the morning of your stay before your tour. There is an amazing variety of breakfasts available in Cafe Football (part of the hotel) including the above breakfast pizza!
What is Hotel Football like?
I have previously reviewed Hotel Football so feel free to read that post here for more information. It is a football-themed hotel with amazing football card wallpaper throughout the building (can be seen in the image above) and all the rooms have a football theme.
The rooms have a mini bar which includes fizzy drinks, water, crisps and sweets all available free of charge! A great little extra touch that you will love. Football-themed toiletries are also complimentary in the room.
How was the Old Trafford tour?
When we checked in to Hotel Football we received tickets for our tour and lanyards to hold them. Ben of course was so excited.
We were very impressed by the tour and the fact we can revisit again and again for a year is brilliant.
The tour included seeing inside the player dressing rooms, checking out the press room and of course walking through the tunnel players walk through for a game.
There was so much to see and the guides were so knowledgeable on the ground that it was interesting even for a non-football fan like me!
Ben loved sitting in the dugout and trying out every seat so he can watch Manchester United on TV and be able to say, “I have sat there”!
A perfect gift?
We were staying for Ben’s birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel truly spoiled him and made him feel like a VIP. He had a card, banners, balloons and top trumps cards as a gift in the room which was lovely.
The restaurant staff brought him a dessert with Happy Birthday on it and a mocktail too. Niamh especially was amazing and definitely an asset to their team.
The service was brilliant throughout. I would highly recommend it as a gift for a family or for a loved one. If you are all out of ideas for Christmas this is so easy to book and would be a lovely surprise. Great for birthdays, anniversaries or just a treat too!
Anything else you should know before booking the Hotel Football Ultimate Football Fan package?
The whole experience was amazing. Do be warned, however, the tour ends in the gift shop so make sure you take money with you! If you are worried about children wanting things though don’t panic. There are a number of cheaper items and you can print a free certificate to show you did the tour. Perfect as a little gift for young ones who you don’t want to buy a kit for!
Remember to make sure you take your tickets to the Museum and exchange them for an annual pass after your tour. If you don’t you will not be able to visit again!
