10 Ways we still plan to upgrade our home
This is a collaborative post.
If you have followed me for a while, you will know we moved house around 14 months ago. We have already made many changes, and most of the house has been redecorated, but there are some ways we still plan to upgrade our home, and I wanted to share them with you today.

What have we done so far?
So far since we moved in we have changed the front garden to be low maintenance and I keep planting new things in pots to look nice.
We have also had a garden gym built and a hot tub, which I wrote about in a previous post. This involved getting the back garden redone with artificial grass.
The soffits and fascias have been done with new downpipes and that has changed the look of the outside more than I realised.
All the bedrooms have had new carpets, curtains and paint/wallpaper. I love doing this (well, paying someone!) as it really makes the home our style. I have my own office now too and it is exactly how I like it.

10 ways to upgrade our home we have considered
There are a number of other things we wish to upgrade our home, here are ten of them.
A garage conversion – we are considering having the garage converted so we can have a larger utility room and less wasted space in the garage.
Window shutters – I would love Plantation shutters on the windows. I am not sure what it is about them I love, but they just look so stylish as well as useful. Looking at our house from the outside, so you agree this would be a good way to upgrade our home?
A new kitchen – I would love a new kitchen. Whilst I love the style of our kitchen, it is tatty in places, so I would love a new kitchen that I can design myself and have the cupboards and drawers that work for our family.

More pictures on the walls – we still haven’t properly sorted all the pictures and art we want on the walls. We are so undecided, but this is something we still need to do to upgrade our home without spending anything more than time!
New front door – I am not keen on the front door we have and would prefer one with less glass. A courier said to me the other day that he was going to knock, but I was busy in the kitchen! I don’t want couriers to be able to see in, or anyone else, for that matter! An easy way to upgrade our home would be replacing the door!
Painted stonework – one of the home upgrades I am planning (when I can persuade Stuart that we need it) is the stonework under the windows to be painted. A house nearby has had it done and they look great! I have even found someone to do it and got a quote so we are nearly there. This particularly I think would be a good upgrade to our home as it looks better outside!
Understairs storage – the storage under the stairs in our house currently is used for shoes with a cupboard full of shelves perfect for shoes. I would love a different style of storage however so this is something we are considering.
Changing the layout of the bathroom – we would love to change the bathroom layout.

New ensuite for our room – whilst our ensuite is ok and functional there are some changes we would like to make one being that I would love a double shower.
A new porch – we have a nice little porch area but I would love to change that to a larger and more functional one at some point.
Are any of these ways that we want to upgrade our home similar to the changes you want to make at yours? Let me know in the comments below.
