I tried Slimming World and even though I did lose a stone and a half of weight I think it was by accident rather than anything else. The reason was, for me personally, I found it way too complicated to follow. I’m a simple guy and wanted a simple way to diet with meal plans to follow. Maybe also the naming conventions of things such as syns, healthy A, option B etc and amounts to have just didn’t click with me. I ended up just eating the same things over and over again. Also because, at the time, I was very close to type 2 diabeties so I couldn’t have potatoes, bread and pasta etc. Anything with starch in was a big no no.
