Turtle Bay Bottomless Brunch Nottingham Review: Is It Worth It?
This isn’t an advert or paid-for post and I paid for this myself, I went to Turtle Bay for bottomless brunch and cocktails with my sister-in-law, Clare and had a fantastic time, so I wanted to share it with you all. Plus, you never know; I might get to review other bottomless brunch venues in the future!
A Monday morning can be quite challenging, dragging yourself out of bed with the knowledge that another long week of work has commenced. But this week was different; Clare suggested we go for a bottomless brunch in Nottingham, which, naturally, I didn’t turn down!
Turtle Bay, the Caribbean-themed restaurant in Nottingham’s heart, offers an amazing brunch and bottomless cocktails for £34.20 per person. Clare had been before and recommended it, so I couldn’t wait to try it myself!

Monday morning before the Bottomless Brunch
It was the end of November and a horrible rainy day, so despite the Nottingham Christmas market being open, we headed for a coffee before our brunch, a poor idea in hindsight as it started me off with toilet trips which if you are a woman of my kind of age (early 40’s) you will know this isn’t a good move!

Turtle Bay, Nottingham
Firstly, let’s talk about the ambience of Turtle Bay. As you enter, it’s like being transported to a tropical island paradise. Bright walls and a warm welcome by the staff make for an instant feel-good vibe. I could see happy faces; I could smell the spicy fragrances of the Caribbean; the sound of merriment in the background all made me feel relaxed.

Turtle Bay Cocktails
The staff allowed the 2 hours of unlimited cocktails, fizz, red stripe, mocktails, soft drinks and hot drinks to begin only when your first drink arrived on the table.

Every drink was a unique explosion of flavours, the server, Aimee, was amazing and helped us choose cocktails we might not have considered when we were unsure and clearly knew how to make good recommendations.

The cocktails continued to be topped up throughout the brunch. We never had an empty glass! In total, we had 10 cocktails each over the course of the two hours, which is amazing value, I think. We definitely left a little tipsy, but not too tipsy to go and drink more elsewhere before getting the train home!

Our thoughts on the food at Turtle Bay
Now, onto the food. The brunch includes a choice from the menu of any brunch, burger or roti dish; however, if you want something different, you can pay a little extra. I have never eaten at Turtle Bay, so was a little apprehensive as I don’t like very spicy foods, but I loved my meal.

I had the Vegan Yardbird without hot sauce, and it was amazing! Clare had the Open Sausage Roti, which she enjoyed too. There were a number of tables in the restaurant and I didn’t see anyone complain about their food so I was very impressed.

Overall thoughts
The bottomless brunch with cocktails experience at Turtle Bay was incredible. The ambience, food, and service all exceeded my expectations, and it provided a relaxing way to start the week ahead. I highly recommend the experience as the perfect solution to a Monday morning.

The tasty food, the endless cocktails, and the friendly service are all worth your time and money. So next time you’re looking for a way to start the week with fun and indulgence, consider a bottomless brunch at Turtle Bay in Nottingham. You won’t regret it.

Who Would Enjoy Turtle Bay’s Bottomless Brunch?
I think the Turtle Bay bottomless brunch is ideal for a few different types of people.
If you’re celebrating a birthday, catching up with friends, enjoying a hen party or simply fancying a fun afternoon out, it offers a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of choice.
What I particularly liked was that it didn’t feel rushed. Even though the restaurant was busy, the staff were attentive and ensured drinks kept arriving throughout the session.
If you’re someone who enjoys trying different cocktails rather than sticking to one drink all afternoon, you’ll probably get especially good value from the experience.
On the other hand, if you don’t drink alcohol, it’s worth checking the current mocktail and soft drink options before booking to make sure the experience still represents good value for you.
Is Turtle Bay Bottomless Brunch Worth The Money?
This is probably the question most people ask before booking.
For me, the answer was yes.
The combination of a main meal and unlimited drinks for two hours felt like good value, particularly because the service was so efficient. We never seemed to be waiting long for our next drink, which can sometimes be the biggest frustration at bottomless brunches.
Of course, value is subjective. If you’re only planning to have one or two drinks, you may find better value ordering from the standard menu. However, if you enjoy cocktails and plan to make the most of the experience, it can work out surprisingly cost-effective.
I left feeling that I had enjoyed a proper experience rather than simply paying for a meal and a few drinks.
How Many Drinks Did We Actually Have?
One thing people are always curious about when reading bottomless brunch reviews is how many drinks are realistically possible during the session.
The answer depends on how quickly drinks arrive and how busy the venue is.
During our visit, the service was excellent and we were regularly offered another drink before we had even finished the previous one. By the end of the two-hour session, we had each enjoyed around ten cocktails, which I thought was impressive and contributed significantly to the value for money.
Of course, everyone’s experience will be different, but it certainly didn’t feel as though the restaurant was trying to limit the number of drinks ordered.
My Favourite Cocktail From The Menu
If I had to pick just one favourite cocktail from the whole experience, it would be a difficult choice because we managed to sample quite a few!
One of the things I enjoyed most was stepping outside my comfort zone and trying drinks I wouldn’t normally order. The staff were brilliant at making recommendations based on flavours we liked, which made the whole experience feel much more personal.
I would definitely encourage anyone visiting not to automatically order the same drink repeatedly. Trying different cocktails was one of the most enjoyable parts of the brunch and helped make the experience feel special.
How Turtle Bay Compares To Other Bottomless Brunches
I’ve been to a few different brunches over the years, and one thing I’ve learned is that they can vary hugely.
Some venues focus on the food, while others are all about the drinks. Some have excellent cocktails but slow service, while others keep the drinks flowing but don’t offer much choice.
For me, Turtle Bay struck a good balance between the food, cocktails and overall atmosphere. The Caribbean-inspired menu also made it feel a little different from the standard prosecco-and-avocado-toast style brunches you often find elsewhere.
If you’re looking for a lively brunch experience in Nottingham city centre, it’s definitely one I’d consider returning to.
