If you are new to camping you may be unsure where to start when it comes to packing items for a camping trip and what you will definitely need to bring with you. In this post I’ll be sharing the basic essentials you will need plus a few optional extras.

It goes without saying that the main item you will need is a tent. However there are many options to choose from. First of all you need to decide what size tent you will need, depending on how many people you’ll be camping with. The price of tents vary depending on the quality and any additional features. It’s a good idea to look into the conditions you will be camping in and also consider ease of use, the weight, material and ventilation that you will require.
