Why I will be doing more UK travel in future

At the moment not only is foreign travel not possible but UK travel isn’t either. Whilst this is for the best given the current pandemic I hope it won’t be too long before we can return to some kind of normality. In the meantime, we can all be planning the things we would like to do when the time comes. I love reading travel blogs for ideas.
Places in the UK I would like to visit
London
I love London but it is one of those places with so much to do I really want to visit again. We could all spend a few weeks on a long city break there and still miss things, in my opinion. I would love to take Ben around all the museums as he is a big fan of art and history. Visiting all the usual tourist spots as well as less well known areas.
Brighton
I don’t think I have ever been to Brighton but it always looks so lovely and I would love to visit. There are trains going from London Bridge to Brighton so I could go straight from the London trip and make it a bit of a tour of the UK. The pride weekend in Brighton looks amazing too and I would love to be part of it. I have always taught Ben that as long as you are loved and respected it doesn’t matter who your relationship is with.
Edinburgh
From one end of the country to the other, I have never really been to Scotland properly and would love to explore the city of Edinburgh. The famous Edinburgh Tattoo would be a great time to visit I imagine but really anytime would be good I am sure. In fact, the more I think about it the more I am surprised that I have never been. It is easily accessible by train from Newark which isn’t that far from me!
Cardiff
Another place I have never been is the whole country of Wales, I would love to visit Cardiff for many reasons. It sounds like an amazing city and I would love to visit. I do wonder why I have never been somewhere that really is so close but have instead been abroad. We should all explore our own countries more shouldn’t we!
Liverpool
I absolutely loved my trip to Liverpool with Ben a year ago but there was so much we didn’t see too. It is such an amazing city with so much culture I definitely want to go back there at some point. Did you read the reviews I wrote of places there we enjoyed? We loved the British Music Experience and I know Ben would definitely love to go back there as well as of course Anfield! Ben is football mad!
Why consider UK travel?
Whilst the UK doesn’t have the same hot weather that other holiday destinations have I do think it is a great country with everything from Blackpool to The Cotswolds. There is so much culture and so much to see and do. It always seems such a shame to travel on a plane to somewhere which is warmer but has no real culture when we have that on our doorstep! Don’t you think there are so many perfect family holiday locations in the UK? Get planning them while you are stuck at home!
