A Foodie Guide to the Best Breakfast Spots in NYC
This is a guest collaborative post about the best breakfast spots in NYC.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and one of the most eagerly anticipated meals to be enjoyed for some reason. There are a lot of places in New York where you can get breakfast, however, and there is quite a large selection.
If you’re not sure where to find good breakfasts though, I have done all the hard work for you! Follow this guide on how to find the best things to eat from an individual who has eaten breakfast at various places in NYC.

Best Breakfast Spots in NYC
1. The City Bakery
The City Bakery has some of the best ‘hot’ breakfasts in the downtown area. You can get any breakfast that you want, and it tends to taste a lot better than other places! I would recommend ordering pancakes, which are warm and fluffy, or eggs and bacon which are rather crispy and delicious. Prices can be a bit on the high side though- as a whole, NYC has a great selection of fast-food restaurants and places to eat at reasonable prices.
Address:
New York, NY 10003

How to get there: Subway Line B/D/E – Union Square Station 1 minute walk up Broadway. There is also an entrance on the corner of Broadway and Pineapple street – easier but further uphill!
2. The Bagel Shop
This bagel shop is perfect for someone who wants to get a good bagel and eat in a cafe. The Bagels are all delicious and the prices are affordable. Plus, it’s one of the best bagel stores on the Upper West Side as well as one of the top places to eat on this side of town. We would also recommend the cream cheese bagel, which is like a croissant but with a bagel base.

3. The Bowery Bagels
One of the best bagel shops, and an excellent place to get anything from plain Italian (my favourite) to an everything bagel for lunch. Delicious and cheap bagels. Outside tables if the weather is nice, and the servers are very friendly. The best bagel shop in New York City!
Address:

Hours: 24 hours a day 7 days per week
4. Madison Square Garden
If you’re going to an event at Madison Square Garden then it can be worth checking out their sold-out breakfast buffet. It includes breakfast sandwiches, home fries, hash browns, pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, and desserts. As well as orange juice, coffee, and tea. The dessert options are a nice touch to the breakfast offering. It’s a little on the expensive side at $37 per adult and $20 for children but if you’ve been looking forward to breakfast all night then it may be worth it! To many, this is definitely one of the best breakfast spots in NYC.

5. The Egg
Although it is not a cafe, the Egg is a great place to buy bagels or breakfast sandwiches to take home and enjoy on the way to work. It is a great grocery store with a wide variety of goods including food and drinks. All of this is available for delivery if you need it.
Address:
1217 1st Ave. also known as 32nd St, New York, NY 10001
6. OREO
The giant cookies are a great snack to eat on the go. They are chocolate-covered, and normally find them on their own at other places too but they can also be added to waffles, pancakes, or french toast for a sweet treat. You can get an assortment of flavoured Oreos or regular ones.
