Midweek Catch-Up 25th March 2026
Hello again, I hope everyone is well. Here I have a few new posts to share with you, some updates on life and just a general waffle for you to enjoy. I always feel like when I write these updates, I am chatting with my friends so I hope you read it like that too.

Health Catch Up
So, as I shared last week, I have started on the Oviva programme to help me with weight loss. I have had a call with them and discussed my options, and so far, I am very impressed. I am yet to decide if I want to try Wegovy or just make better food and exercise changes. During the call, we discussed the foods I eat, and I got some great tips I hadn’t even thought about. They work very well with you and your likes and dislikes, which I was pleased about. I will keep you all updated on this every week.
Ben’s health hasn’t been great as he is still recovering from his operation in October and having more complications with that, so we have had more appointments, etc. lately, which is mentally and physically draining for us and more so for Ben.
Family Life
This week, we have been quite busy with Ben’s appointments, so we haven’t done much differently from normal. We do enjoy doing quizzes on YouTube as a family, so that is good. There are also some vloggers we follow, so we regularly watch those too.
Ben and Stuart have been doing the Panini EFL football sticker albums and have very nearly finished them, which is good. They have a lot of swaps so I have been selling them on Vinted to buy more or at least get some of the costs back! It is so lovely to see them having fun doing it together, though.
Wedding planning is still going smoothly, there isn’t much I can share about that, really, to be honest, as I am sure you guys are not that interested in the details, but it is going well!
Books
I haven’t read as much as usual lately, which feels a little strange. I finished Drowning in Paper Flowers, which was quite good, but I didn’t think it was worth the hype I have seen in online book groups. I would probably give it 6/10.
I have been reading Has anyone seen my husband? by Kathleen Whyman on my Kindle, which so far is pretty good and moderately funny. I wouldn’t say it is laugh-out-loud funny, though!
