My Year-Long Subscription with Prestige Flowers – A Personal Review

When my fiancé, Stuart, surprised me last Christmas with a year-long flower subscription to Prestige Flowers, I was delighted. I’ll admit, I’ve always loved the idea of having fresh flowers at home, but it never occurred to me just how much joy and positivity such a simple gift could bring. Now, halfway through the year, it feels like the perfect time to share my experience. (And no, this isn’t a collaboration, it’s just a recommendation because I’ve been loving it so much.)

A Monthly Bouquet Full of Surprises

What I immediately appreciated about this flower subscription is how varied the bouquets are. Each month, the arrangement is completely different from the last, featuring a beautiful mix of colours, textures, and seasonal blooms. I never know what will turn up, and that’s half the joy. Some months, it’s a softly romantic collection of roses and lilies; other months, I’m greeted by bold, cheerful sunflowers.

It’s like opening up a little piece of happiness every time the flower subscription arrives. They come carefully packaged, nestled securely in a box to keep them fresh and protected.

When Things Didn’t Quite Go to Plan

Of course, nothing is perfect, and I did have one minor hiccup with the subscription. A few months in, I noticed that one of my bouquets didn’t arrive in the best condition. Some of the flowers were wilted and slightly damaged, which was a little disappointing. However, I reached out to their customer service team via X (formerly Twitter), and they resolved the issue quickly, sending out a fresh replacement bouquet without any fuss. It arrived just as beautifully as all the others.

There’s something uplifting about flowers. Even on an otherwise stressful day, knowing they’re coming, or simply walking into the room and seeing them there, brightens me up.

I’ve even started looking forward to arranging them when they arrive. I’m not particularly gifted at floral design, but there’s something therapeutic about trimming each stem, deciding how to place the blooms, and then watching them settle into the vase.

A Gift That Keeps on Giving

When I think about all the gifts I’ve received over the years, this flower subscription stands out as one of the most thoughtful. It’s not just about the flowers themselves, it’s the happiness they give me every single month. It’s a fantastic gift idea for so many people, not just for those who love flowers.

Top tips for ordering a flower subscription

As a recipient here are some tips that may help you if you are ordering a year of flowers for someone, or in fact if you receive such a lovely gift.

  • Consider the gift message as it will arrive with every bouquet – mine says Happy Christmas!
  • If you have any problems with your bouquet, contact Prestige Flowers directly on X for a quick and simple resolution.
  • If you, as a recipient, have a holiday planned, you can contact Prestige to change the date of a delivery and they can do this for you no problem. I have changed mine for an upcoming holiday to arrive just after we return!

My thoughts

Just to reiterate, this isn’t a sponsored post or paid endorsement. I simply wanted to share my honest experience of my flower subscription because it’s been such a lovely part of my year. I am only halfway through my subscription, and I love them more than I imagined I might, so I would recommend them as a unique gift for a woman in your life.

If you’ve been thinking about trying a flower subscription for yourself, or considering it as a gift for someone you care about, I couldn’t recommend it more. It’s a little bit of luxury and a whole lot of happiness, and I’m so grateful to Stuart for thinking of it. Who knew fresh flowers could make me so happy?
