Christmas Gifts Under £10 for 2026: Affordable Presents They’ll Actually Love
Christmas shopping can get expensive surprisingly quickly, especially when you’re buying little presents for friends, teachers, colleagues, neighbours and all those people who somehow end up on your list at the last minute. A tenner here and another tenner there soon adds up!
Luckily, you don’t have to spend a fortune to find something lovely. There are plenty of Christmas gifts under £10 that are fun, useful or a little bit different from the usual chocolates and novelty mugs.
Whether you’re looking for a Secret Santa present, a stocking filler or a little something for somebody you love, here are some of my favourite affordable Christmas gift ideas for 2026.

Christmas Gifts Under £10 for Children
The Bestest Story in the World Ever
If you’re buying for a child who enjoys funny stories, The Bestest Story in the World Ever by Chip Colquhoun could be a lovely choice. It’s a playful book that encourages children to enjoy storytelling, and I think it’s particularly nice for children who love having stories read aloud.
The paperback version is the one to look for if you’re keeping to a £10 budget. It’s a good alternative to another toy, particularly if you’re buying for a child who already seems to have everything.

My First Reading Journal for Kids
For a young bookworm, My First Reading Journal for Kids is a lovely little present. Children can keep a record of the books they’ve read and what they thought of them, which makes it a nice way to encourage reading without making it feel like homework.
You could even pair it with a second-hand paperback if you have a few pounds left in your budget.

Baker Ross Craft Kits
If you know a child who loves making things, Baker Ross has lots of affordable craft kits, from Christmas decorations and bookmarks to sewing projects and seasonal activities.
I particularly like the decoration kits because children can make something they’ll be proud to hang on the Christmas tree. Just check whether you’re buying an individual activity or a multipack, as some sets are designed for groups.

Christmas Gifts Under £10 for Games Lovers
Dobble
Dobble is one of those games that sounds ridiculously easy until you’re playing it! You have to spot the matching symbol between two cards before everyone else, which is surprisingly difficult when everyone is shouting out answers.
It’s quick to learn, doesn’t take up much room and is great for families. Some editions are available for under £10, so compare the different versions before ordering.

Fish ‘n’ Chips Dice Game
The Fish ‘n’ Chips dice game is another fun option for somebody who enjoys games. It’s a compact choice for family games nights or taking away on holiday, especially if you don’t want another enormous board game taking up cupboard space.
I think little games like this make particularly good presents for families because they’re something everyone can enjoy together.

Nexcube Puzzle
If you’re buying for someone who enjoys a challenge, a Nexcube could be a good stocking filler. It’s a speed-cube style puzzle that’s ideal for somebody who loves solving things, whether they’re a teenager or an adult.
It’s also the sort of present that somebody will pick up for five minutes and then spend ages trying to master!
Thoughtful Christmas Gifts Under £10
3 Minute Gratitude Journal
The 3 Minute Gratitude Journal is a nice present for someone who enjoys journalling or taking a few minutes to reflect on their day.
I like that it doesn’t require somebody to spend ages writing. It’s a manageable little activity for someone who enjoys putting pen to paper, without feeling like another job on their to-do list.

It’s OK to Wobble
It’s OK to Wobble is a thoughtful little book for someone who appreciates encouraging words and gentle reminders that nobody has everything sorted all the time.
It could make a lovely present for a friend who enjoys reflective reading, although I’d choose it for somebody who likes this sort of book rather than someone who’d prefer a thriller or a box of chocolates!

Thinking Gifts Book Lights
For someone who’s always reading, a book light from Thinking Gifts could be a really useful present.
They’re particularly handy for reading in bed without disturbing somebody else, and some of the slim designs are easy to take on holiday. There are different styles and prices, so look for one that fits your budget.

Personalised Christmas Gifts Under £10
Vistaprint Christmas Decorations
A personalised Christmas decoration from Vistaprint could be lovely for grandparents, new parents or somebody celebrating a special Christmas.
Choose a favourite photograph of the family, children or pets and you’ve got something they can enjoy putting on the tree every year. Keep an eye out for offers, as prices vary depending on the design.

Personalised Mugs
I know mugs aren’t the most original present, but a funny or meaningful photograph makes them much more personal.
Vistaprint personalised mugs could be particularly nice for somebody who adores their pet or has a favourite family photograph. Some designs fall below £10 during promotions, although it’s worth checking delivery costs too.

Personalised Ordnance Survey Maps
For somebody who enjoys walking or has a special connection to a particular place, the Ordnance Survey personalised map range is worth exploring.

You could choose somewhere they grew up, a favourite walking area or a place that holds special memories. Check the individual product price carefully, as many personalised maps cost more than £10.

Practical Christmas Gifts Under £10
Rydale Socks and Welly Socks
Socks might be a traditional Christmas present, but they’re useful, especially when you choose a nice pair!
Rydale socks include designs for people who enjoy the countryside, along with options suitable for wearing with wellies. I think they’d make a lovely present for someone who’s always walking the dog, gardening or spending time outdoors.

Make Your Own Sweet Bouquet
If you’re buying for somebody with a sweet tooth, why not make your own sweet bouquet? Choose their favourite wrapped sweets or chocolate bars and arrange them with tissue paper and ribbon.
It’s easy to personalise, can look much more expensive than it is and is a fun alternative to another selection box. You could even make one entirely from someone’s favourite chocolate bars.

A Little Pampering Treat
For someone who enjoys a relaxing evening, a face mask, hand cream or bath bomb could make a lovely small gift.
You could choose a 7th Heaven face mask, a Palmer’s Cocoa Butter hand cream or a colourful bath bomb. I’d rather give somebody one nice product they’ll use than a huge gift set full of things they don’t particularly want.

Christmas Gifts Under £10 for Secret Santa
If you’re buying for somebody at work and don’t know them particularly well, I’d keep things fairly simple. A small game such as Dobble, a book light, a pair of socks or a nice chocolate treat could all work.
If you know they enjoy reading, puzzles or spending time outdoors, choosing something connected to that interest will make the present feel more thoughtful.
And if the Secret Santa limit is £10, there’s no need to spend the full amount. Finding something lovely for £6 is a good thing, not a reason to add another £4 of random bits!
You can find more ideas in my Secret Santa gift guide.
Where to Find Christmas Gifts Under £10
As well as the products above, it’s worth browsing The Works for books and puzzles, B&M for stocking fillers and Home Bargains for little treats.
Charity shops can be brilliant for books, jigsaws and picture frames too. There’s nothing wrong with a second-hand present if it’s in good condition and something the person will enjoy.
I’d also recommend checking postage before ordering online. There’s nothing more annoying than finding the perfect £8 present and discovering it’s going to cost another £4 to have it delivered!
My Thoughts
I really don’t think Christmas presents need to be expensive to be lovely. A funny book, a little game, a personalised decoration or something practical can be just as appreciated as a much bigger present.
The best gifts are usually the ones that show you’ve thought about the person receiving them, not the ones with the biggest price tags.
