Of course, not everything needs someone’s name printed across it to make it special. I think the best personalised presents are the ones that really suit the person you’re buying for. A photograph of the grandchildren for grandparents, a favourite holiday memory for your partner or perhaps something funny featuring the family dog!

What to Check Before Ordering Personalised Christmas Gifts

Personalised gifts can take a little longer to arrive than ordinary presents, so I wouldn’t leave ordering until the last minute.

I’d also check the spelling of names, dates and messages very carefully. It’s surprisingly easy to make a mistake when you’re excited about creating something, and discovering you’ve spelt someone’s name wrong after it’s been printed is not ideal!

For photo gifts, use the best-quality photograph you have and check how it’s cropped in the preview.

Finally, check the delivery times and returns policy. Many personalised products can’t be returned simply because you’ve changed your mind, although your rights still apply if something arrives faulty or isn’t as described.

I think the best personalised present depends on the person you’re buying for.

For grandparents, I’d choose a photo decoration or canvas featuring the grandchildren.
