How to reward yourself for weight loss
Should you reward yourself for weight loss? I say yes, without a doubt and here I will explain why and give you some of my favourite choices.
Everybody’s weight loss journey is different. While some people can lose weight effortlessly, others frequently struggle. I believe you should be proud of whatever you have accomplished, regardless of how long or how much the scales say. Regardless of whether you’ve lost a lot or a little, you should be proud that you are making a change.
Some people find it hard to keep motivated while trying to lose weight. If this is you, then you might find that rewarding yourself with little (or large) gifts when you hit milestones along the way might help keep you on track.
I have a few suggestions for gifts that you might like. I have thought of items for all budgets, so I’m sure there will be something that is perfect.
A Charm Bracelet
Consider buying a charm bracelet at the start of your weight loss journey, or make it your first reward upon achieving your first milestone. For every subsequent goal you reach, you could buy yourself a new charm to add to your bracelet. Whatever your budget you can find a charm bracelet you like from Pandora to Gnoce readily available or more unique bracelets on Etsy.

Weight Loss Keyring
Similar to a charm bracelet but a little different, why not buy yourself a keyring with cute weight loss tokens? Each time you reach a milestone, you can add one of these tokens to your keyring. I prefer the star-shaped tokens but you might like circular ones, the choice is yours!
Buy a New Book
If you enjoy reading, why not treat yourself to that new book you’ve been wanting to read? You could buy yourself a new book for every milestone you reach.
If your budget is higher and you want to have a change you could even buy a Kindle to start with and then books on there? It would also be a great thing to do in the evenings instead of snacking!
New Clothes
If you’ve lost a substantial amount of weight, why not reward yourself with a new wardrobe? These clothes will boost your confidence and serve as a visual testament to your ongoing progress. Wearing the same clothes you wore before might obscure the efforts you’ve made and potentially dampen your spirits.
While you are looking for new clothes, try and be brave, you might look different to how you imagine in a dress or skinny jeans. Try on things you like the look of but think won’t look good on you, and see if you are pleasantly surprised!
Plan a Spa Retreat
Schedule a rejuvenating spa day with massages, facials, or any other pampering treatment you choose. It’s an ideal opportunity to unwind and pamper yourself, whether you choose to go solo or invite a friend for some much-needed bonding.
Do Something New
Why not try something like a dance class or even rock climbing? Not only will these be enjoyable, but they’ll also help keep you active and maintain the momentum of your fitness journey.
Go Out For A Meal
Indulge in a special meal at your favourite restaurant or treat yourself to a delicious dessert. Remember, balance is the key; giving yourself occasional indulgences can be a motivating factor for the long haul.
Go On Holiday
Probably the most extravagant of all the gifts I’ve mentioned, I think a holiday would be a great way to celebrate a significant milestone or the end of your weight loss journey. You could spend a few days away with friends or plan a longer break with your family.
The most important thing is to celebrate your accomplishments and acknowledge how far you’ve come on your weight loss journey, so make sure any rewards you plan to treat yourself with align with your interests and make you feel good about yourself.
