I have tried out the Tower AquaJetPlus Carpet Washer, a compact and lightweight carpet cleaner that promises powerful performance. My Experience
After testing this carpet washer, here is what I found.
Ease of Use
This model is simple to assemble and easy to understand how to use. Filling and emptying the tanks only takes a minute or two, and the lightweight design is ideal for quick touch-ups or deep cleans. However, it slightly struggles on stairs due to the lack of smaller attachments, which could make cleaning certain spots tricky.
Noise Levels
One aspect to be aware of is the noise. Although not deafening, it’s louder than most vacuum cleaners, which could annoy sensitive pets or neighbours during early mornings. That said, it is pretty useful so if you can get over the noise it is a good gadget!
Cleaning
I tried it out on Ben’s carpet which is a good few years old and with a teenager who seems to collect washing and empty drinks bottles in his room I wasn’t hopeful! Once he had tidied his room (again!!) I had a look to see what I was tackling. In general, the carpet was quite dirty with one obvious stain.
The cleaner was easy to use and when I saw the colour of the water I tipped from the dirty water tank it was doing a good job! Of course one key thing though is whether it removed the stains adequately.
Did it remove stains?
Using the Carpet cleaning solution included in the box I filled the cleaner and got to work. It was easy to use and after around 5 minutes I thought there appeared to be a change in the stain but it was hard to tell as it was now damp.
Hopefully, these images will show the stain I had and the difference after using the Tower AquaJetPlus on it. You can also see the carpet in general is looking much cleaner. Neither of these images has been edited in any way and both were taken at a similar time of day around 24 hours apart.
Pros and Cons of the AquaJetPlus
What I Loved:
- Pet-Friendly Cleaning: Whilst we don’t have pets at the moment, I like that it can handle fur and mucky marks etc as you never know we might get a pet in the future.
- Easy Maintenance: The dual tank system ensures hygienic cleaning and is a breeze to clean post-use. It is a case of emptying the tanks and rinsing them out.
- Affordable Price Point: At £119.99, it offers great value compared to more premium models.
- Compact Design: Its lightweight build ensures it’s easy to manoeuvre and store. It takes up the same space as a standard upright vacuum cleaner.
- Includes cleaning solution: The cleaner includes a 900ml bottle of cleaning solution which is great to get you started. the instructions advise that any carpet cleaner that is non-foaming can be used but I did like the effectiveness of this one so will probably just buy more of this!
Room for Improvement:
- Challenging on Stairs: The lack of a hose or stair attachments might prove inconvenient.
- Noise Levels: Not ideal for quiet cleaning sessions.
Who Should Consider the AquaJetPlus?
This carpet washer is best suited for pet owners, people who enjoy cleaning and having a spotless house, and busy families looking to maintain clean, odour-free carpets. It’s also an excellent option for individuals with allergies, given its anti-bacterial cleaning capabilities.
