My Honest Cotton Traders Review: Sea Glass Jeans & More

Recently, I was asked to try a few bits from Cotton Traders. They are a brand I have seen around for years, but I wanted to see if their quality matches their reputation. I picked up some jeans from their new Sea Glass range, along with a few home and lifestyle accessories.

Trying the Cotton Traders Sea Glass Range
Cotton Traders says the range is inspired by the way real sea glass is refined over time. The priority of the collection is a reliable fit with clothes cut to move with you. This all sounded good, and a bonus is that I absolutely love sea glass, so to know that inspired this range made me smile.
I decided to start with the basics and ordered a pair of jeans. I have reviewed a lot of clothing brands over the years and quite like doing clothes reviews, and I can be quite picky when it comes to comfort.
Soft and True to Size Jeans
Buying jeans online is always a bit of a gamble. However, I was pleasantly surprised by these. The Cotton Traders jeans are very soft. They are made from a cotton-rich twill with added stretch, which means they do not feel stiff or restrictive.
The sizing is spot on. I ordered my usual size, and they fit perfectly. There was no need to do some kind of yoga just to get them over my hips. They are comfortable enough to wear all day, even if you are just lounging around the house or popping to the supermarket.
Other Sea Glass Pieces I Have My Eye On
While I only tried the jeans this time, the rest of the Sea Glass range looks fantastic. They have some lovely tops, trousers, and beautiful sea glass-inspired prints. These items look perfect for a holiday capsule wardrobe. Because the jeans fit so well, I feel much more confident about ordering a few summer tops from the same collection in the future.
Brightening the Garden with the Rattan Solar Light
As well as clothing, Cotton Traders has a surprisingly good home and garden section. I picked up their faux rattan solar lantern to use outside in the summer.
The British summer weather is notoriously unreliable, but we do get a few nice evenings where sitting in the garden is lovely. This solar lantern is perfect for those nights. It is solar-powered, so it automatically illuminates once the sun sets. You do not have to worry about running cables across your patio or replacing batteries.
The lantern is made with metal and plastic in a grey finish. It looks very stylish and much more expensive than it actually is. It measures roughly 21cm by 22cm, making it a great size to sit on an outdoor table.
Beach Bag Ready for Summer
I also ordered a beach bag for the summer. Finding a good beach bag is surprisingly tricky. You need something big enough to hold sun cream, a book, a purse, a phone and snacks, but it also needs to look nice.
The Cotton Traders straw tote bag fits the bill perfectly. It has a generous size with a secure popper to fasten it. The inside pocket with a zip is a fantastic feature because it keeps your money and/phone safe. It also features faux leather handles that feel sturdy enough to carry a heavy load of beach essentials.
Making the House Smell Amazing
Finally, I decided to try some of their home fragrance products. I absolutely love scented candles and reed diffusers. They are such an easy way to make a house feel clean and welcoming.

The Cotton Traders scented candles and reed diffusers are lovely. They have a wide range of luxurious scents. I love having a candle burning while I am working. The reed diffusers are brilliant for areas like the hallway or bathroom, where you want a constant, subtle fragrance.
The scents are noticeable but not overpowering. They make the house smell fresh and inviting.

The home and lifestyle items are also great quality. The rattan solar light adds a lovely glow to the garden, the beach bag is practical and stylish, and the candles and diffusers make my home smell gorgeous.
