My Honest Nourished Collagen Review: Do These Gummies Really Work?

Collagen supplements are absolutely everywhere right now. It feels like you can’t scroll for two seconds on Instagram without running into impressive before-and-after pics, or a wellness influencer gushing about their daily dose of collagen.

With all that in mind, I decided to test the Nourished gummies for myself. I’m sharing my actual experience with what some call the best-tasting collagen, the good, the questionable, and whether they’re worth considering adding to your daily routine.

Four cylindrical Nourished Collagen containers (Skin Protect, Skin Glow, Skin Clear, Skin Hydrate) are lined up on a table. In front, there’s a small white packet and two colorful, striped collagen gummies.

What Makes Nourished Collagen Different?

Before I get into my experience, here’s what sets Nourished gummies apart from the mountain of collagen supplements on the shelves. These aren’t your average powders, drinks or tablets. Nourished does personalised stacks of nutrients in gummy form.

A quick heads up: some of the Nourished products contain eggshell membrane, so they are not suitable for vegans or strict vegetarians. I am not sure how this would impact those with egg allergies, so it is always worth checking with your allergy specialist if you are unsure.

Collagen Benefits: What the Science Actually Says

Okay, let’s address the biggest question. Do these Nourished gummies collagen supplements actually do anything, or are they just fancy sweets with big promises?

Research shows collagen isn’t pure hype. Clinical studies suggest that collagen peptides can help improve skin elasticity, smooth out some fine lines, and boost skin hydration. As we get older and our body’s natural collagen slows down, supplements can provide the raw materials to help keep us looking fresher.

But the story doesn’t end with skin. Some research says collagen might also support your gut lining, which is way more important than it sounds. A healthy gut lining helps with digestion and may even cut down on inflammation.

Let’s be honest, though: collagen “might” help, but your results may vary wildly depending on your genes, diet, daily habits, and luck. There’s no one-size-fits-all miracle, and nothing will counteract an unhealthy diet or bad skincare routine!

My Experience: The Honest Truth

Here’s the section you came for: did these gummies actually do anything for me?

The answer? Sort of. Over four weeks, my skin looked a bit brighter, definitely felt more hydrated, and I even thought the fine lines around my eyes got a little softer. Pretty good, right?

But there’s a catch (isn’t there always?): during this same period, I also started using some new skincare products, increased my water intake, and had just come back from a holiday. Most people know your skin often dries on holiday, but bounces back once you’re home.

So, was it the Nourished gummies, the skincare, the extra hydration, or a mixture? I honestly don’t know. That’s the thing, though, in real life, it’s nearly impossible to credit improvements to just one thing. So yes, they could definitely help you, but I would never guarantee it and certainly couldn’t say 100% that they changed my skin.

Collagen for Gut Health: The Unexpected Benefits

While the jury’s still out on my skin, there was one area where I noticed a pretty clear improvement: my digestion. About three weeks in, things started improving a little; I felt less bloated, and generally more comfortable after meals. This lines up with the research around collagen and gut support. Of course, it could also be linked to changes in stages of my menstrual cycle or subtle changes to my diet, who knows.

Again, total honesty: I was also drinking more water, eating better, and taking a little more care with what I ate during this trial. But the timeline synced up nicely with starting the supplements, so I’m willing to give at least partial credit to the gummies.

Taste and Convenience

This is the easy part: Nourished gummies taste great. A little like fruit pastilles, you actually want to eat them! The flavours change based on your stack choice, and you can even customise your own gummies with all the nutrients you personally need!

It sounds minor, but taste matters a lot. The “best” collagen supplement doesn’t do a thing if you can’t stand to take it. These gummies made me look forward to my daily dose, which meant I never missed one. I even looked forward to my healthy treat! If you’ve ever forgotten a pill or let a powder languish in the cupboard, you know that’s half the battle.

They’re also extremely convenient. No measuring, mixing, or precise timing. I kept the box on my desk and ate one every day whilst working. Zero effort required! On days I was not working, I popped into my office to get one on my way downstairs for breakfast! The advantage of working from home!

Are They Worth the Price?

Nourished gummies aren’t cheap, but then no collagen supplements are. They usually cost about £39 for a monthly pack that covers a variety of needs, depending on your choice of blend. Each pack contains small packets with daily gummies inside. For some blends, it is one gummy; for others, it is two, but they are in the same convenient little pouches! They are all fruity flavours and sweet!

However, the Nourished Collagen skin blends that I have tried are available from Holland and Barrett for £19.99 for a 1-month supply. They are currently on offer too at £13.39 each at the time of writing this review (late August 2025).

The Nourished Collagen+ Gut gummies I tried are available from Boots and usually £24.99, but currently they are £18.74 and on 3 for 2 so definitely worth considering!

Are they worth it? It depends on what you value. If you’ve struggled with remembering supplements, or you simply can’t stomach the taste or texture of powders or drinks, the ease and enjoyment here could justify the spend. Plus, the personalised options are a nice touch. Check out the whole range on the Nourished Website.

How to Choose Collagen You’ll Actually Take

Here’s what matters in the real world: not following influencers that sell things they haven’t tried or won’t try on camera. Have you seen all the YouTubers that do sponsored content for AG1 but never drink it on camera?

Taste is huge. If you don’t like what you’re taking, you won’t keep it up. It’s that simple. Gummies, powders, and unflavoured mixes, find what makes taking your supplement easy and less likely to be forgotten or put off.

Make it work for your routine. Convenience is key. If you’re always in a hurry, powders might not work for you. Nourished gummies could be your saving grace. Be honest about your habits when you are thinking about choices.

Stay realistic. Collagen won’t turn back the clock overnight. Any improvements are likely to be subtle, and it is said that it can take 8-12 weeks to really see a difference.

Gut Health and Collagen

Something I found genuinely fascinating: as we age, our gut lining, rich in collagen, can weaken, sometimes leading to so-called “leaky gut.” Collagen supplements might help keep this barrier strong, which means better absorption, less inflammation, and maybe even a brighter mood, apparently but I am not entirely sure how that works.

Can collagen help with weight loss? I guess it is hard to know. There are a lot of suggestions out there, but without trying it independently of a healthy diet and other changes, it will always be hard to tell. Here are some of the claims that are made and the evidence that is behind those.

1. It Can Help You Feel Fuller for Longer

Protein is well-known for its ability to promote satiety, which is the feeling of being full and satisfied after eating. Because collagen is a protein, it can have the same effect.

Studies have shown that collagen is more filling than some other types of protein. One study found that people who had a breakfast containing collagen ate 20% less at lunch than those who had whey or soy protein. Feeling fuller for longer can lead to eating fewer calories throughout the day, which is a key part of losing weight. So, adding collagen to your morning smoothie or coffee might help reduce those mid-morning snack cravings.

2. It May Help You Keep Muscle Mass

When you lose weight, especially quickly, you don’t just lose fat, you can lose muscle mass, too. This is a problem because muscle burns more calories than fat, even when you’re resting. Losing muscle can slow down your metabolism, making it harder to lose weight and easier to regain it later.

Protein is essential for building and maintaining muscle. Taking collagen supplements provides your body with the amino acids it needs to preserve that muscle tissue while you’re in a calorie deficit. By helping you hold onto muscle, collagen supports a healthy metabolism, which is crucial for long-term weight management.

3. It Might Reduce the Appearance of Cellulite

While not directly related to losing weight on the scales, many people are concerned about cellulite, which can become more noticeable after weight loss. Cellulite is caused by fat pushing against the connective tissue beneath the skin.

Collagen helps strengthen this connective tissue. Some research suggests that taking collagen supplements can improve skin elasticity and dermal density. This could help smooth the skin’s surface and reduce the bumpy appearance of cellulite, helping you feel more confident in your new shape.

Tips before you get started with collagen

Track your progress. Take before pictures and jot down a few notes each day. It’s easy to forget where you started.

Don’t expect a makeover. Changes are gradual and subtle; don’t be disheartened if you don’t wake up looking ten years younger.

Stick to one change at a time. I tested new skincare, upped my water, and tried the gummies all at once (classic!). If you can, tweak only one thing so you know what’s really working.

Be patient. Collagen takes time, most research looks at 8-12 weeks. No change will happen in a week, even with these Nourished gummies, unfortunately!

Who Should Try Nourished Gummies?

Nourished collagen gummies are perfect for:

People who hate powders or pills. If you forget your supplements or just can’t deal with the taste or mess, Nourished gummies could change the game. I have found them much easier to add to my daily routines and more pleasant than horrible drinks or powders.

Vegetarians. There are so many collagen supplements that are made with marine collagen, and as such, they are not vegetarian. The Nourished gummies are vegetarian and may also be suitable for less strict vegans (they have eggshell membrane in them)

You want long term not overnight results. Sorry, no supplement is working overnight, but for a long-term result, these Nourished gummies could be just what you need.

Will I Continue Taking Them?

Four weeks in, here’s where I stand: I’ll keep taking Nourished gummies because they taste nice and are easy to add to my routine and have now become a habit.

They didn’t perform a skin miracle, and I can’t say for sure if the improvements were all down to them. But I loved the taste, never missed a dose, and genuinely noticed some pluses, so I am keen to continue. I have heard so many good things about collagen, and this is a form of collagen I can actually stick to, so I can’t see any reason not to continue once my samples have run out, which I was sent in return for this review.

For me, the convenience factor is unbeatable as I am not someone who easily builds new habits, and these Nourished gummies are so easy to add to my daily routine! I genuinely was sceptical about collagen supplements before trying these, as I thought they were all “just bearable” and like everything else, I thought that I would hate them and then avoid taking them. I must say I was pleasantly surprised, and unlike other supplements I have tried in the past, I genuinely think these will now be part of my routine!

Remember: your skin and gut journey is all yours. What glows up your best friend might do nothing for you, and that’s fine! The real “best” supplement is the one you’ll keep taking.

Will you try Nourished Gummies?

Thinking about trying collagen? Be honest about your routine, habits, and what you’re hoping for. Do you prioritise convenience, or are you after maximum value? Can you give it 2-3 months to see if it works for you?

The most effective supplement is the one you stick with. Whether you go for gummies, powder, or capsules, make sure it fits into your actual life. For me, it is definitely the gummies! Now, if every supplement I need could be taken this way, I am sure I would be much healthier!
