Simple Eggs In Ham

This recipe of simple eggs in ham is so easy to do. It is healthy and full of protein. It is a really easy home ed project for your kids to do because it is so easy to make.

Obviously, they will need some supervision with the oven but they can make it themselves and have their very own healthy lunch.

It can also be changed to Green Eggs and Ham, simply with a bit of green food colouring so you can bring the Dr Seuss story to life.

This is also a great alternative to breakfast on a cold day, as well as a healthy lunch box meal. Because it is made with low-calorie foods, you can make a few of them and pop them into your fridge. Then if you get peckish, you have a handy ready-made snack.

What You Need

This recipe only has two main ingredients – eggs and ham, or another free food meat. Also, some green food colouring if you decide to do the green eggs.

How To Make it

Switch the oven to 180°c to warm up.

To make the eggs in ham, you need a bun tray or muffin tray. Spray it with some fry light, so that the ham doesn’t stick to the tray and place your ham over the bottom of each bun section.

You will need a couple of slices to cover the base. But you can use more slices if you want a thicker base.

This recipe will work just as well with a Quorn slice too.

Crack the egg and put it inside the bun section, over the ham slices. You don’t need to mix the egg because the finished result looks good when you see the yellow yolk. Now is the time to add some green colouring if you want to have some fun.

Place the tray with the Eggs in ham, into the oven. Cook on the middle shelf for 10 minutes for a hard yolk. But if you want a runnier yolk, you can leave it for less time. Season with salt and pepper if needed and enjoy!

The only problem with this recipe is that they are too moreish!
