A Review of Homary Furniture – Is It Worth Your Money?

Our Experiences with Homary
As we ordered as part of this collaboration I am unable to share the checkout process however I did receive order tracking from the outset and my order, I believe, was processed as any other customer order.
What did we order?
I was keen to replace a cabinet with all my sentimental items displayed in with something new and more classy than the IKEA unit I had owned for years! When searching the Homary site, I considered a few options, but I eventually settled on the 1900mm Modern White Etagere Corner Bookshelf.
I loved the idea that some of my items would be on display and others would be easily stored in the cupboard below, and I could swap and change the items around easily whenever I fancied.
How were delivery and packaging, our initial thoughts?
The delivery guide was accurate, with us receiving the item in the middle of the guide window displayed when ordered. The tracking links worked well, and then, the week it was due, I received a call from a transporting company about delivery.
The box was large as it came with the lower half of the unit assembled already, and the shelf element needed to be attached to the base and the shelves added. The feet of the unit also needed screwing into place.
As you can see from my images, the unit came well-wrapped and protected, including the corners of the box being reinforced with plastic corners and the sides of the box being reinforced with hardboard. Everything inside the box was secure, and nothing could move at all.
The unit was wrapped well in layers of shrink wrap, and whilst this took significant time unwrapping, it meant the unit was in perfect condition when opened.
Assembly and Product Quality
The assembly instructions were clear, and the number of pieces were limited due to it arriving part assembled. The quality was clearly good, and the only imperfection I saw was slight inside the drawer, so it didn’t concern me. If I had chosen to, I could have returned it on this basis with no issues, but it is not noticeable and so small I was not worried.
The screw holes were all predrilled, and whilst some needed slight adjustments, the assembly was easy, and the whole unit felt to be of a very good quality.
There is a small bag of spare screws, bolts etc which I thought was a great idea. Also included is a pack of fixings so the unit can be attached to a wall for safety. We chose not to do this as we do not have small children or pets; however, we may attach it to the wall later.
Our overall experience of Homary
I have never ordered such a costly piece of furniture online without seeing it previously, only small side tables and similar items. I was a little unsure whether the item would be of good quality or look cheap and tacky but I was pleasantly surprised and the piece looks great in our dining room.
I haven’t included pictures of the shelves full of our items as we have some photos and sentimental items on them that I prefer not to be online however, we are very impressed with the amount of items it holds and the good quality it feels.
The company impressed me greatly, there is clearly a big focus on quality and whilst I have only tried this item so far I will definitely be ordering future items from them now I know the quality is good.
Since I first found Homary, I have noticed a number of different offers and sales so if the price isn’t quite in your budget I would recommend keeping an eye out for an offer!
