How to save money shopping for your teenager with JamDoughnut

This is a collaborative post.

I want to share with you today how to save money when you have a teenager using JamDoughnut!

Teenagers are expensive! They have expensive tastes in clothes, they usually wear adult clothes which are more expensive anyway due to paying VAT on them (you don’t pay it for kids’ clothes!). They seem to be able to eat for England, especially teenage boys!

These tips will help you save money, I promise, and if you haven’t heard of JamDoughnut I will help you to understand how to use it and save money today!

Save money on their clothes!

There are many ways you can save money on your teenagers’ clothes without them having to compromise on the labels they desperately want.

Firstly, check out stores like TK Maxx for the brands at a cheaper price. They are usually last season’s items but actually, whether a pair of DKNY jeans are from 6 months ago or one month ago really won’t matter! It is only really relevant for the most obscure of items that are either really in or really out of fashion!

Secondly, consider a few good items of clothing rather than lots of cheap items. Whilst the likes of Primark have their place, if you end up buying 6 pairs of trousers there for them to last as long as one good pair then you may as well have paid out for the pricier pair at the outset if you can afford it!

Thirdly, and by far my biggest tip, shop around for the best prices but don’t stop there. Use a cashback site such as JamDoughnut to get instant cashback on your buys too!

I will share more about how it works below but in my experience, don’t buy anything without checking JamDoughnut first! Stores like TK Maxx, Decathlon, JD Sports, Ted Baker, Adidas and Asos are all on JamDoughnut amongst others!

Save money on food

Aside from the obvious of buying cheaper food by shopping in the reduced sections, bulk buying when you can and shopping at Lidl or Aldi instead of Waitrose or Sainsburys, you may think there is little you can do.

Think again, JamDoughnut is perfect here, too! Using Jamdoughnut you can get cashback instantly on what you spend in supermarkets, including Aldi, Farmfoods, Iceland, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons! If you are a fan of Hello Fresh, you can even save with them on JamDoughnut!

Restrict the bills you pay for them

If you are paying for your teenager’s phone bill, then have you set it up with restrictions so they do not accidentally run up a huge bill? If not, then why not? There really is no reason not to because, in an emergency, they can always dial 999 anyway and can often call or text you if needed within their inclusive allowance!

When it comes to game consoles, do you have spending limits? If not, then you have maybe been lucky so far! Get those limits on just in case, and be sure to find how to buy bargain games and online credits when you can.

A few of my go-to places for those are CD Keys and of course, JamDoughnut is great if you have an Xbox in the house! Below I will explain exactly how to get set up on JamDoughnut so you can start saving money from today!

Compare prices on gadgets

Before you buy any gadgets, always compare the prices. Whether it is a phone, headphones, a games console or a new laptop if you have the model number, it is easy to compare the prices online and find the best bargain.

When you have the best bargain check if you can get an extra discount by signing up to the websites emails, as some places do a small discount on your first purchase, also check if they offer any accessories or essentials at a small additional extra. Whilst this doesn’t save you money on the gadget cost it may save you money on the case or controller you then need to buy!

After you have got the best price, you can use JamDoughnut to buy a voucher to pay for it and bag some extra money as instant cashback! It will soon add up, especially on big purchases like these!

JamDoughnut – what is it and how to use it

JamDoughnut is THE new thing when it comes to cashback sites! No more waiting for 90 days for your cashback to be approved, no more faffing having to withdraw money and wait 72 hours for it to reach your account, simple and easy cashback pretty much instantly!

It is the highest-ranked cashback app on TrustPilot and you can use it online and in-store making it perfect for busy people like me!

How does it work I hear you ask, well it is simple. Firstly you need to download the JamDoughnut app on your phone from the App Store or Play Store.

Then enter my referral code (Z9CV) because you have found out about the app from me and it helps me out if you do so without making any difference to your experience.

Then simply choose the store you want to spend money with and buy a voucher through the site to pay for your purchase. When you do this, you have 2 options in which to pay for the voucher. I recommend you always use bank transfer (in my experience, it is perfectly safe!) as this gets you the best cashback amount!

When you first use your account, you get £2 bonus credit just because you signed up! So it is super easy to build up your cashback!

When you reach just £10 in your account, you can cash out and get the money that very same day! How easy is that?

Our experiences with JamDoughnut

I have totally fallen in love with JamDoughnut as it is so much easier than any previous cashback website I have used, and already I am mounting up the money!

The first thing I bought was some trainers for Ben; he had seen them online for £100 and wanted to spend his own money on them; I found them on JD Sports for £45, so already a bargain, then using JamDoughnut, I got £5.15 worth of points too so over halfway towards my £10 to cash out!

I have also used JamDoughnut for Costa – I spend far too much money in Costa! With JamDoughnut, I bought a £15 voucher for one visit I knew I had planned and got £1.20 in cashback! I go at least once a week, usually spending the same so that will soon build up!

We are going away soon, so I am using JamDoughnut to buy fuel for the car as well as restaurant vouchers for when we eat out; so many bargains!
