When I was offered a soup maker to review I was instantly excited. It really is soup weather, isn’t it? Soup is a perfect meal for lunch when it is chilly outside and sometimes even just as a snack to keep me from eating other things!
I have shared a variety of soup recipes with you previously and they are always popular. As I know you love soup as much as I do, I knew you would be keen to see how I got on with a soup maker. I was a little sceptical though as it isn’t that hard to make soup in a pan is it?
What can the Morphy Richards total control soup maker do?
Having never used a soup maker before I was pleased to discover that on this model you can chose 2, 3 or 4 portions which is perfect for us. The consistency of the soup can also be chosen between chunky, medium and smooth. You can also use the soup maker to saute ingredients prior to a following a recipe or to blend a drink such as a smoothie.
The time it takes to make soup varies depending on your choices but is around 30 minutes. It can reheat soup in around 20 minutes. Not only can this device make soup, smoothies, saute and reheat the soup, it can also clean itself! Amazing isn’t it!
The Instructions and Recipes
The soup maker includes the above instruction booklet which includes some recipes. The instructions are really easy to follow and the recipes are clear and simple. Following the instructions to make a variety of soups was really easy as they are set out well with clear diagrams. I was very impressed with how straight forward it is to use both for the included recipes and my own.
Would I recommend the Morphy Richards Total Control Soup Maker?
I absolutely love this soup maker and would definitely recommend it. When it is in operation it can be a little noisy but no more than a blender is. The fact you don’t have to be in the room with it means that is fine.
It is so easy to use and despite initially thinking I wouldn’t get much use from a soup maker I have used it a lot already. I was impressed that it is so easy to pop the ingredients you chose in and top with stock then leave it to do its stuff!
If you are looking for a soup maker then this one is fabulous. I can not compare it with others as I have never tried a soup maker before but I do know I love this one. You can even make things like this curry sauce in it!
Would I Recommend ordering from AO?
I found the service from AO was brilliant. When I had an issue with the product it was immediately replaced (these things happen so don’t let it put you off). Items were delivered by the courier as arranged. The replacement for the original item was quickly arranged and it was swapped on the doorstep with a new one within a few days. I was very impressed with this as so often companies expect you to send an item back and wait for ages for a replacement to arrive! This and the other item I received came well packaged and wrapped. AO has great deals too so I will definitely be ordering from them in the future.
