Budget shopping tips for these burgers

Buying herbs and spices in bulk is something I really recommend. It can save a lot of money in the long term but also mean you never run out! I find putting them on Amazon Subscribe and Save helps too!

This recipe works just as well with frozen and defrosted onions if you prefer. Do share them with me it is always nice to hear of people’s recommendations.

Can these pork and cheese burgers be made with beef mince?

Yes, this can be just as easily made with beef mince if you prefer. It really is a great way to get children to try new things and make something themselves.

You could also swap the cheese for another variety if you prefer. It really is up to you! Have fun and get your hands dirty making them!

Description

An easy way to make your own burgers with a cheese centre which melts beautifully as it cooks. Perfect for a BBQ or just to make in the oven at home.

Ingredients

Scale

454g 5% Pork Mince

1 red onion (peeled and finely chopped)

1 large egg

1 tbsp. Mixed Herbs

1 tbsp. Garlic Granules

1 tsp Mustard Powder

6 Babybel light cheeses

Instructions

Using a large mixing bowl mix together all ingredients except Babybels using hands if necessary!

Separate mixture into six and mould each into a burger shape with a Babybel in the middle.

Using Frylight in large frying pan fry burgers on medium heat for approximately 7 minutes on each side until golden. Do not try and turn them over too early or they will fall apart and the cheese will escape!
