A delicious dessert that is predominantly fruit but so much tastier. Easy to make and adds a different dimension to a bowl of melon. If you follow Slimming World, Weight Watchers (WW), Noom or any other weight loss plan you can usually count this easily within your allowances as it is so low-calorie.

Which are the healthiest types of melon?
When it comes to choosing the healthiest variety, there are a few factors to consider. For starters, watermelon is a great option thanks to its high water content and the fact that it’s low in calories.
Cantaloupe is another good choice as it contains high levels of vitamins A and C, which are fantastic for supporting a healthy immune system.
And let’s not forget honeydew melon, which is rich in potassium and fibre, making it great for maintaining healthy blood pressure levels.
With so many delicious and nutritious options to choose from, it’s easy to add melon to your diet and reap the benefits.
Why melon is great on Slimming World
Slimming World, to my understanding, say melon is a speed food because it has low-calorie density. This means you would have to eat a lot of it for very few calories. Watermelon is a speed food too and both melon and watermelon are free on Slimming World.
Regardless of the weight you eat, Slimming World says that it is free and can be enjoyed without counting it. Of course, it is also within reasonable moderation, we can’t live off melon alone! Too much of anything would never be good, variety is the spice of life and all that!
Adding fruit like melon to desserts for weight loss
Even if you are having a synned dessert such as the cheesecake above, adding fruit is ideal as it adds more colour and nutrients. Of course as well, as mentioned above it is lower in calories which is of course good. Why not add some to a fruit pasta salad too?
Melon is great for weight loss as there is so much water in it. I also find it helps me to not become dehydrated as I never drink enough water!
Do you have much water? Melon may be the answer to all your problems if you don’t. Well, not all your problems but any caused by dehydration anyway!
Constipation is affected by dehydration so melon can help if you are blocked up!
