My trip to This Morning Live!
I was so lucky last month to get press passes to attend This Morning Live in Birmingham at the NEC. I’ve never been before but used to watch This Morning a lot but since working from home I don’t often have time now. Sometimes I do sneakily have it on in the background though! If you ever watch it or have considered going to This Morning Live then read on to find out what I thought.

What is there to do at This Morning Live?
This Morning Live is a perfect shopping day out for all things girly. With there being stands for various makeup, jewellery, clothes, and accessories it was a lovely girly shopping trip. I had my make-up done on one of the stands (Sport FX), what do you think?

The event is held at Birmingham NEC so everything is under one roof and easy to get to. There is food and drinks available both from the NEC themselves and also from stands at the show.

The shopping experience of many stands selling everything from makeup to gin with tasters and demonstrations is not all there is to do. There are stage shows on the main stage from the presenters’ Holly and Phil some days and Ruth and Eamonn other days. I was lucky enough to be able to attend on two days so experienced both.

There is also another stage with demonstrations and short shows on from various This Morning stars. This included cooking demonstrations from John Torode and Phil Vickery. I particularly enjoyed the fashion from Rochelle Humes and the anxiety talk from The Speakmans.

Who can you meet at This Morning Live?
There are a number of photo opportunities where you can meet the stars. These all involve waiting in quite a queue. There is also the chance to see some of them as they walk through the building and sneak a quick photo then if they are not too busy. We got the above picture of The Speakmans and also saw Anton du Beke.

There were competitions running throughout the day and we saw the gorgeous Joe Swash filming a giveaway live for This Morning! I can tell you he is just as gorgeous in real life as he looks on TV.

The shows
It was great to see Holly and Phil on stage and they were brilliant. I must say though I preferred the show with Eamonn and Ruth.

Both pairs were so friendly and it really felt like a great experience. They genuinely seemed to be enjoying their job and the day there. On some occasions, they mentioned people they had met earlier in the day which was nice too.

The Book Signings
Throughout This Morning Live, there are book signing sessions with the stars who have books out. This was another opportunity to meet the celebrities such as Dr Ranj (who didnt have his head on my boob despite how it looks!), Phil Vickery, and many more. I bought an extra Dr Ranj book to run a giveaway for my readers, he was lovely and wished you all well in your weight loss journeys!

Would I recommend This Morning Live?
I had a great time on both days that I attended the event. On one of the days, I took my sister in law Clare. The other day I took my best mate Julie. Both Clare and Julie also enjoyed the event. I think we would all definitely recommend it and are hoping to attend again next year.
If you are planning to go to This Morning Live next year I would definitely recommend not driving and getting the train or similar. There are so many opportunities to taste gin etc. As I was driving I didn’t try any as it was too difficult to guess how much all the samples would add up to. Make sure you take plenty of money and budget for how much you will be happy spending as there is so much to buy!
