In the hot weather, one of my favourite go-to meals is kebabs or skewers. They are so easy to make and put on the BBQ or cook under the grill. In my opinion, the way to make the best kebabs is to find the perfect sauces. When I was sent these sauces by Geeta’s I couldn’t wait to try them out.
Whilst you could marinate the meat or tofu before cooking this isn’t always easy. With children who may not like them or all liking different flavours the easy solution is to make skewers then add sauce like these from Geeta’s when finished to serve.
Geeta’s sauces
I particularly love Geeta’s Mumbai mango and lime sauce for a tasty kebab. Here I share with you how I made a tasty tofu kebab using it.
I made a chicken kebab recipe and one that uses tofu instead and the methods were the same.
Geeta’s sauces are available from Ocado and selected independent retailers nationwide (RRP £1.99). Geeta’s Premium Mango sauce will also be available in select Tesco stores from July and in Waitrose from August. They work well in this tofu kebab recipe.
What do you like to cook on a BBQ? We have teppanyaki grills and love them. My favourite things to cook on them are corn on the cob, large mushrooms and eggs!
Have you read my article of BBQ essentials? Do you have any sauces you like to use on your BBQ food? Will you be trying this range?
I definitely recommend them. If you want to come back to this post remember to Pin It for later!

Description
A recipe for amazing Indian style kebabs for all the family using Geeta’s sauces to add flavour. Easy quick recipe for the BBQ.
Ingredients
500 grams Chicken breasts, chicken thigh or Firm tofu cut into large chunks
3 Bell peppers cut into large chunks
2 Red Onions (peeled and quartered)
1 Cup Basmati rice
1 bottle Geeta’s Mumbai mango and lime sauce
Instructions
Marinate the chicken or tofu pieces in 4 tbsp of Geeta’s Mumbai mango and lime sauce in a large bowl. Leave to marinate for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile prepare all the vegetables or maybe just have a relax!
After the 15 minutes use bamboo skewers to make the kebabs using pepper chunks, onion quarters and chicken/tofu.
Place skewers on a grill pan, baking tray or bbq and cook on a medium high heat for 30 minutes, turnings frequently. If using tofu grease proof paper can help as otherwise it easily sticks!
Meanwhile, place the rice and 3 cups of water into a saucepan and bring to the boil then simmer until all water absorbed.
Serve skewers on a bed of rice with bottles of additional sauce if preferred.
Loved this spicy tangy sauce with my chicken – wow! Definitely having this again 🙂
Those Chicken/tofu kebab looks delicious. looks like great sauce. I love to try it.
I have got to try that sauce! It looks really tasty and pairs so well!
These sauces sound absolutely devine! I’m about to do an Ocado shop so I’m definitely going to have a search for them x
The sauces sound yummy. As a vegetarian, I recently tried tofu for the first time and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I’d love to try these out using tofu and see how it goes.
I have not tried these sauces yet but they seem yummy on a nice kebab, excited to start our BBQ this weekend.
These look delicious! And perfect for BBQ season – l have to give them a try at my next one x
Oh gosh I love a good kebab and the tofu ones look and sound amazing, perfect for summer. Thank you for the inspiration!
Loving the look of Geeta’s sauces. I enjoy cooking with spices from scratch but sometimes after work I just can’t be bothered to go all out, so it would be handy to have some of these in the cupboard.
We do tend to eat quite a bit of chicken and always looking for new ways to enjoy it, these sound great – will have to pick one up on the next shopping trip
You just can’t beat kebabs in the summer and these look ever so delicious, Jen!
I haven’t tried a lot of things with tofu but this looks interesting. I will give it a try
I’m rubbish at remembering to marinate. These sauces might help me to remember
omg these look sooo good! We almost bought this the other day… it seems easy to make it at home as well!
Oh these look so tasty! I’m a vegetarian and I love tofu skewers, especially on a BBQ. Halloumi is also really nice!
This is great! I never thought about making kebabs with tofu before. I will have to try it!
I think my daughter would absolutely demolish the chicken with the mango sauce. She loves the sweeter tasting sauces the most. Quick and simple and perfect for summer
Kebabs are such a great way to grill up a full meal! I can’t try the sauces you shared, but I’m adding these to my menu this week!
Your kabobs look great. I have a friend that loves mango that i know would like to try that fruity mango sauce.
due to not being around too much I’ve not managed to indulge in a BBQ yet this summer, although my go to’s are a burger then chicken and halloumi x
We use a lot of tomato and mustard based sauces so the mango ones sound like an awesome change of pace. It’s been years since we’ve done kebabs and it’s time to revisit them. With tomato, mushrooms, and onion they were always a favorite of mine.
I like that you can make this with tofu. This is something that I would enjoy on the grill.
Barbecued kebabs are such a delicious summer treat. There is a restaurant I go to that makes grilled halibut, prawns, onions, peppers & mushrooms on a kebab and it is such a yummy treat. I don’t have a barbecue at home so I don’t eat kebabs as much as I would like, but a tofu kebab sounds delicious!
Oh my gosh these look so YUMMY! Thanks for sharing, going to try them out. Have a great weekend!
